I’d like to issue a friendly reminder - we run out of funding for the government once again in 26 days.

I will not sit back and watch a complete betrayal of the GOP base with this “plan” that’s being discussed.
 
I ran because I was sick and tired of politicians coming up here and cutting deals and releasing “holier than thou” statements about why we just had to accept it.
 
Just remember that there is far more that unites the Republican Party than divides us.
 
It’s time to get on with finishing these appropriations bills. We’re here to work for the people. Let’s act like it. The country is counting on us!
 
We’re not letting the Speaker debate distract us – there’s plenty of work to be done, and rest assured that we are on it.

Fighting Back Against the IRS

Lauren submitted a public comment this week to the IRS demanding that they not tax the refunds that Coloradans get under the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights. These payments are REFUNDS. They shouldn’t be included in an individual’s federal gross income and, therefore, shouldn’t be taxable. Lauren will always fight for Colorado taxpayers!

North Pueblo Train Derailment

Earlier this week, a train derailment tragically took the life of a truck driver just outside of Pueblo on an I-25 overpass. While there were no other serious injuries, the loss of life was deeply saddening and a full investigation of what took place is underway. Lauren has been engaged with stakeholders like the NTSB, CDOT, BNSF Railway, and others from Sunday evening onwards to make sure that a full accounting of what went wrong is revealed and that clear steps can be taken to make sure this does not happen again.

School Board Election Advocacy

Lauren is using her voice and impressive reach to remind Republicans of the importance of voting in local school board elections this November. Ballots for school board races across the 3rd District are being mailed out this week and Lauren needs you to join her in voting for conservative leaders who will support parental rights and put our children’s education ahead of promoting woke ideology.

Ouray County Lincoln Day Dinner

Lauren was the headline speaker at the Ouray County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner where she discussed the latest events in D.C. and how she’s continuing to produce results for the 3rd District. The event was the first Lincoln Day Dinner organized by Ouray County in six years. Lauren gave a clear update on what’s happening in Congress regarding her fight to cut spending and the latest machinations on selecting a new Speaker of the House.

Delta County Lincoln Day Dinner

Lauren made the trip to Hotchkiss to speak at the Delta County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner in front of over 100 proud Republicans. She discussed the current fight in Congress over electing a new Speaker of the House and gave a great update on the seven bills she’s gotten passed out of House committees that focus on the local issues most impacting 3rd District families.

Aspen Adam Gets Called Out in Daily Sentinel

Aspen Adam Frisch got called out in the Letters to the Editor section of the Daily Sentinel for his recent op-ed on the BLM “conservation rule.” His piece was eerily similar to statements and press releases that Lauren has put out of the previous five months, as she co-sponsored HR3397 to rescind the rule back in May while Frisch failed to take a position on it until this month.
 
The move by BLM would be damaging to ranchers, farmers, and the entire rural Colorado community as it would lock up lands from public use. It would have a serious negative impact on grazing, livestock, recreational use, and energy production.
