I was extremely surprised at the coverage of Deltarado Days in the Wednesday, July 26, 2023 edition. There was not one single word or photograph about the participation of our Congressional representative in the Deltarado Parade - Congresswoman Lauren Boebert.

Congresswoman Boebert was part of the parade and walked the entire parade route holding the flag of the United States of America. Not only did she walk the entire route, she continuously interacted with people watching the parade, crossing from one side of Main street to the other.

She greeted adults, gave high-fives to children and young people and posed with her constituents for photographs and selfies. The responses were incredible! A sitting Congresswoman coming to the City of Delta and walking in that City’s annual summer celebration - what an honor!
