Pueblo Chieftain: Congresswoman Lauren Boebert talks energy, bills and birds in Pueblo

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-Silt) visited the biggest city in Colorado’s 3rdDistrict Tuesday, making stops at the Pueblo Community Health Center, the San Isabel Electric Association and the Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center.

“I always learn something new when I come to Pueblo. It’s such an amazing, thriving community and the connectivity of Pueblo is unmatched,” Boebert said.

Boebert got a tour of the relatively new Pueblo Community Health Center building on the East Side, for which she supported a grant in late 2022 in the federal appropriations bill. PCHC leaders offered Boebert a suggestion for an action she can take back to Washington, D.C., about a federal program that gives providers of low-income patients who aren’t covered by Medicare and Medicaid access to discount drugs.
