Washington Examiner: Boebert seeks to eliminate salaries of some presidential appointees
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) said she plans to use the Holman rule to file amendments on appropriations bills targeting the salaries of several presidential appointees and other agency officials.
Specifically, Boebert said she would introduce the Holman Rule amendments to the proper appropriations bills targeting Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. But she doesn’t think it should stop with just the higher-ups.
“There’s bureaucrats that will be targeted with the Holman rule, and we need to make sure that we’re making significant cuts,” Boebert said.
She told the Washington Examiner she plans on filing these amendments as soon as the appropriations bills are released.
